THE TRUMP MOVEMENT

I was watching Paul Ryan express his doubts about supporting Trump because he didn’t adhere to the Republican standards, and that got me to thinking. A small number of people, compared to the population, have decided for each Party what their standards are, and the voters have no choice in the matter. Think about that a moment; if you want to vote, your options are limited. Ryan calls himself a compassionate conservative---makes me wonder. BOTH of the standards for the Party’s should not fall into ideological camps, though that will be there, but what is best for America. How have these standards worked out for the average worker the last 16 years? Ryan and the others just don’t get it! Whether you’re a placard, slogan spouting Tea Partier or a “Feel the Bern” socialist, what voters want is not philosophy but good jobs, health care, and a safe place to live. And that doesn’t happen because you’re Conservative or Liberal, but only if you’re intelligent, a visionary, and concerned about something other than your paycheck and keeping your job. Cruz and the other Tea Partiers  decided if they couldn’t get their way, nothing was going to happen, so they helped create the most inept Congress in decades. So why should Cruz be surprised that his tush was kicked by Trump?

THEY JUST DON’T GET IT!

I’m fiscally conservative and socially liberal, and that doesn’t require a lot of standards. If you can’t be both and still govern, then you should be doing something else. But what you get are idiots who try to act intelligent by calling themselves Compassionate Conservative or whatever, and ignore the problems in this country. Listen, I’m not a Trump fan but I also don’t want business as usual. See, I think I get it! Americans are screaming that they are tired of hopes rising and falling on the Dow Jones Average, of the economy being so tied to things they don’t understand---simplify this mess and get on with it. All this crying that Trump’s policies on trade would be disastrous—well, maybe not. And why in God’s name does everyone want to raise taxes on Corporations when we should be kissing their tush for providing jobs? A good businessman sees this, right?

I go back to an earlier post where I said I would gather those members of Congress who have shown intelligence and a willingness to work for all, and use them as my sounding board. As for the others, I’d tell them to keep quiet, play nice, and maybe I might not tell everyone just what idiots they are.

I'm saying this now; if the Party's don't start to understand what is happening, they're going to see a voter tsunami like they've never seen.
