CONCERNS

I haven’t posted in a while because of some concerns about the blog. Should I continue it or not? My concern is because organizations follow it and I’ve revealed things that might not be in my best interest until the book is published.  Yes, after all this time I’ve finally accepted that there are some who might not want Jerry’s story told. Why? Beats me. It’s old news, the CIA and cocaine. So I’ve chewed on this for weeks and have come up with the only thing that makes any sense to me. Someone doesn’t want me to write about the trials. For months I tried to get copies of the 30 year- old transcripts and at each juncture met a dead-end. Then, out of the blue someone told me they had copies I could have. Bingo! Reading them opened up a new avenue for the book. I’ve mentioned some of this in previous blogs. It’s never made any sense why the government would allow a confessed murderer full immunity to send Jerry and his family to prison. Could this be why people are so interested in me?

Okay, so what next? I know from sources that the DEA has been asking about me. But that agency has nothing to do with the trial. The CIA has assured me it’s okay to write the story. So who’s left? How about the Department of Justice? Maybe the FBI? Who knows? All I know is that I’ve been concerned about the wisdom of the blog.

I started the blog to share my experiences. Little did I know that the government would be interested. Naïve? Yes, without a doubt.

But all that said, I’m going to keep on with the blog. To hell with them. If it raises the possibility that Jerry’s family was sent to prison on the lies of an admitted murderer, drug addict and prostitute, that’s good. If they want to pressure my agent and publisher, I’ll live with that.  Okay, that’s about it.

My name is Richard Biggs and I'm a writer. My latest book is about Jerry Allen LeQuire, a convicted drug kingpin, who rejected two offers from the CIA to work for them, and has been in a federal prison for over 30 years.
